Two Birds

Chill a Martini glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water.

In a mixing glass, combine rye, Aperol, sweet vermouth, and crème de cacao.

Add Peychaud's Bitters and fill the mixing glass with ice.

Stir the mixture well until thoroughly chilled.

Strain the cocktail into the prepared, chilled Martini glass.

Twist a piece of orange peel over the drink to release its oils and use it as a garnish.
