Handcuffed Lightning

Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water, then set it aside.

In a mixing glass, combine Jamaican rum, cognac, sweet vermouth, Swedish Punsch, apricot liqueur, and a couple of dashes of Angostura bitters.

Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture thoroughly until well chilled.

Empty the martini glass of any ice water and strain the cocktail into the glass.

Garnish with a twist of orange peel, expressing the oils over the drink before placing it in the glass.
