Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.
Select and pre-chill a cocktail coupe.
Prepare a garnish by slicing a fresh watermelon wedge.
Muddle the chopped watermelon in the base of a shaker until well broken down.
Add Hayman's London Dry Gin, basil leaves, and rich sugar syrup to the shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
Fine strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass.
Garnish the rim of the glass with the prepared watermelon wedge.
