Chill a cocktail coupe by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.

In a mixing glass, combine the bourbon, sweet vermouth, triple sec, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture until well-chilled.

Empty the ice water from the cocktail coupe.

Strain the chilled cocktail into the prepared coupe.
