Chill a cocktail coupe in advance to ensure the drink is served at its optimal temperature.

Prepare a lemon peel by cutting a twist to use as a garnish later.

In a mixing glass, combine cognac, Dubonnet or a similar rouge quinquina, and Giffard Parfait Amour liqueur.

Add ice and the lemon peel to the mixing glass, and stir gently to mix and chill the ingredients.

Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled cocktail coupe.

Express the oils from the lemon peel over the cocktail surface and place the twist in the glass as a garnish.
