Doctor Zeus

Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Pour the Fernet Branca liqueur into the ice-filled glass to coat.

Muddle the raisins at the base of a shaker.

Add the cognac, sugar syrup, Galliano Espresso Coffee liqueur, and a dash of orange bitters to the shaker.

Shake the mixture well with ice.

Discard the Fernet and all the chilling ice from the glass. Strain the cocktail from the shaker into the chilled, empty Fernet-coated glass.

Serve without garnish.
