Brandy Smash

Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare a garnish of mint sprigs.

Shake the mint leaves, cognac, and sugar syrup with ice.

Fine strain the mixture into the ice-filled Old Fashioned glass, preferably over a large cube or chunk of ice.

Garnish with the mint sprigs bouquet.
