Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare an orange zest twist for garnish.

Stir the bourbon whiskey, elderflower liqueur, sugar syrup, and a dash of orange bitters with ice until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into the ice-filled Old Fashioned glass, preferably using a large cube or chunk of block ice.
