Use these prepared liquid components: Fig Leaf Soda (chilled).

Select a highball glass and ensure it is pre-chilled.

Prepare an orange zest twist for garnish.

Pour the rye whiskey, Yellow Chartreuse or génépy liqueur, and freshly squeezed lime juice into the chilled highball glass.

Fill the glass with ice cubes.

Express the orange zest twist over the cocktail to release its fragrant oils, then use it as a garnish.

Top with chilled fig leaf soda.
