Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Chill a cocktail coupe in advance to ensure it's ready for serving.

Prepare a grapefruit wedge to use as a garnish later.

Combine light gold rum, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, rich sugar syrup, freshly squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice, and freshly squeezed lime juice in a shaker.

Add ice to the shaker and shake the mixture vigorously until well-chilled.

Fine strain the cocktail into the pre-chilled cocktail coupe.

Garnish with the prepared grapefruit wedge.
