Chill a martini glass in preparation for serving.
Prepare an apple wedge for garnish.
Combine the advocaat liqueur, Calvados or your choice of apple brandy or straight applejack, apple schnapps liqueur, and vanilla sugar syrup in a shaker.
Add ice to the shaker and shake thoroughly to mix and chill the ingredients.
