Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Select and pre-chill a cocktail coupe.

Prepare a garnish of a lemon zest twist and a Luxardo maraschino cherry.

Shake the Irish whiskey, freshly squeezed lemon juice, rich sugar syrup, and grenadine with ice.

Fine strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass.

Optionally, top with soda water.
