Filibuster

Pre-chill a martini glass.

Prepare a garnish of aromatic bitters by setting aside a few drops.

Add the straight rye whiskey, freshly squeezed lemon juice, maple syrup, and your choice of egg white, vegan egg white alternative, or cocktail foamer to a shaker filled with ice.

Shake the ingredients vigorously and strain the mixture back into the shaker.

Perform a dry shake by shaking the mixture again, this time without ice.

Fine strain the cocktail into the pre-chilled martini glass.

Garnish with three drops of aromatic bitters dotted across the foaming surface of the cocktail.
