Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare a garnish by twisting a strip of grapefruit zest.

Stir the bourbon whiskey, bittersweet orange-red aperitivo, and aromatized wine with ice until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice, preferably a large cube or block.
