Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.

In a mixing glass, combine cognac VSOP, pear eau de vie, apricot liqueur, maraschino liqueur, fresh orange juice, and a few dashes of Peychaud's Bitters.

Add ice to the mixing glass and stir until well chilled.

Discard the ice water from the martini glass and strain the cocktail into it.

Garnish with a few drops of orange flower water and a brandied cherry.
