Cut a strip from the chili pepper and halve the passion fruit.

Muddle the passion fruit pulp and vanilla sugar in your shaker.

Add the cachaça and the chili pepper strip to the shaker.

Fill with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.

Double strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
