Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.
Prepare a garnish by skewering a green olive or another pickled item of your choice.
Stir the rum, white wine, white balsamic vinegar, and powdered sugar together without ice to dissolve the sugar completely.
Add ice to the mixture and stir again until well-chilled.
Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled Old Fashioned glass filled with fresh ice.
