Sangaree

Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare the garnish by grating fresh nutmeg.

Shake the rainwater or Verdelho Madeira wine and rich sugar syrup with ice.

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with crushed ice.

Dust the top with freshly grated nutmeg.
