Chill a double old-fashioned glass in advance to ensure optimal temperature.

Prepare a garnish by grating fresh nutmeg and set it aside.

Combine the bourbon, cloudy apple juice or cider, freshly squeezed lemon juice, maple syrup, St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram liqueur, and a few dashes of Angostura Aromatic Bitters in a cocktail shaker.

Add ice to the shaker and vigorously shake the mixture until well-chilled.

Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled glass filled with fresh ice.

Finish by dusting the cocktail with the grated nutmeg garnish.
