Pineapple Fizz

Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Chill a highball glass to ensure a refreshing serving temperature.

Prepare a garnish of either a pineapple or lime wedge for later use.

Shake the Cuban rum, pineapple juice, freshly squeezed lime juice, and rich sugar syrup vigorously with ice.

Strain the mixture into the ice-filled highball glass while simultaneously pouring in the soda water.

Garnish the rim of the glass with the prepared pineapple or lime wedge.
