Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water, then set it aside.
In a mixing glass, combine the Jamaican rum, apricot liqueur, triple sec, and freshly squeezed lime juice.
Add ice to the mixing glass and stir the mixture until well-chilled.
Empty the ice water from the martini glass.
Strain the cocktail into the chilled martini glass.
Serve straight up, without ice, and enjoy immediately.
