Humos Regiel

Start with these components prepared in advance: Herbal liqueur (Green Chartreuse (Jalapeno pepper infused - see note)).

Chill an Old Fashioned glass with ice, then discard the ice.

In a shaker, combine the mezcal, jalapeno-infused Green Chartreuse, freshly squeezed lime juice, and agave syrup.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into the prepared Old Fashioned glass over fresh ice.

Garnish with a lime wheel.
