Basilian

Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Select and pre-chill a highball glass.

Prepare a garnish by slicing a lime wheel and setting aside a fresh basil leaf.

Muddle the fresh cucumber and basil leaves at the bottom of a shaker.

Add the cachaça, Grand Marnier or other cognac orange liqueur, freshly squeezed lime juice, and rich sugar syrup to the shaker. Shake well with ice.

Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled highball glass filled with ice while topping it up with Thomas Henry Ginger Ale.

Garnish with the lime wheel and basil leaf.
