The Barbancourt Sazerac

Chill an Old Fashioned glass, then rinse it with Pastis (Herbsaint) and set aside.

In a mixing glass, combine the Haitian rum, simple syrup, bitters and the 2 listed cloves.

Add ice to the mixing glass and stir until well-chilled.

Strain the mixture into the prepared Old Fashioned glass.

Express the oils from a lemon peel over the drink, then use it as a garnish by placing it in the glass.
