Goodnight Reunion

Combine the bourbon and mezcal in a mixing glass filled with ice.

Add the coffee-pecan syrup and black walnut bitters.

Stir until well chilled and then strain into a Old Fashioned Glass over a large ice cube.

To prepare the coffee-pecan syrup, heat equal proportions of brown sugar, white sugar, water, brewed coffee, and roasted pecans until the sugars are fully dissolved.

Simmer the mixture for a quarter of an hour, then strain out the solids and store the syrup in the refrigerator.
