Use 2:1 demerara sugar syrup for its listed portion.

Select and pre-chill a cocktail coupe.

Prepare an orange zest twist and a fresh mint leaf for garnish.

Shake all the ingredients with ice until well chilled.

Fine strain the mixture into the chilled coupe.

Express the orange zest over the cocktail, allowing the oils to infuse, and then discard the zest.

Garnish with the mint leaf, either floating it on the cocktail's surface or pegging it to the rim.
